  • Popular Dive Sites

Raja Yai is also recognised as Goh Racha Yai. When translated, the term means 'Big King'. It offers favourable diving conditions for amateur and experienced divers. Here, one can enjoy drift diving and encounter hard coral reefs.

    Raja Noi
Raja Noi is renowned for its spectacular dive sites with huge underwater boulders. The scenery is similar to that found on the pristine island of Similan in the southern part of Thailand. The site provides an opportunity to divers to swim with whale sharks, a concerto of vibrant fish, and manta and eagle rays.

    Shark Point
This place is a marine sanctuary that houses a wide range of aquatic life. Visitors are attracted to the harmless leopard sharks, different species of tropical fish and colourful soft corals here.

    Anemone Reef
Located close to Shark Point, Anemone Reef shares some characteristics with the former. Diving here can lead to encounters with the leopard shark, barracuda, tuna and massive schools of smaller fish. Here, you also get to marvel at extensive fields of sea anemones.

King Cruiser (Possible on Wednesdays only)
King Cruiser was a ferry with multiple decks and open corridors that sank in 1997. With a depth ranging between 12-30 metres, it is an ideal wreck diving site. Here you can come across sea urchins, scorpionfish and lionfish.

    Phi Phi Islands
This is one of Thailand's most popular diving sites. After entering the water, the limestone cliffs suddenly disappear. Instead, you are introduced to a wonderful landscape encrusted with corals and dotted with colourful marine life. Whale sharks supposedly visit this site.

  • Flight Information

IndiGo flights can be boarded from Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Thai AirAsia operates from Chennai and Bengaluru. The aforementioned flights directly take you to Thailand. If you are looking for connecting flights, Indonesia AirAsia X operates from Mumbai with a halt at Kuala Lumpur. Thai Airways operates from all the major hubs of India.

  • Medical facilities Available

Should you require medical attention, you can be rest assured that Thailand offers healthcare options that are on par with western standards. Private and government hospitals boast state-of-the-art facilities for emergencies, while medical clinics are suitable for minor ailments.

  • Altitude considerations

Wait for 18-24 hours to board the flight after diving.

  • Luggage Info

A dive bag will help you to organise, protect and transport your scuba equipment. Most importantly, we'd advise you to take a little extra effort to pack your dive gear separately and not mix it with other essentials. We advise that you carry light cotton clothes, summer wear, easy to dry fabric, extra swimming costume, sunscreen lotion, sachets of energy drinks, UV protected sunglasses, and a sun cap or hat.

  • Books to Read

    • The Beach by Alex Garland is a fictional account of a man who makes it to Thailand on a treasure hunt and along the way finds lots of adventure and mystery. The book perfectly captures the coastal life and wonder of living in this country.
    • Four Reigns by Kukrit Pramoj is an exhaustive account of the history of Thailand. It narrates the tales of its kings and ruling dynasties. It places into context a lot of modern Thai culture by tracing its ancient, historic roots.

  • Typical Day on the Trip

Most of the time is spent learning new things about diving and practicing those newly learnt skills underwater. The mornings and first half of the day is busy. However, as the day progresses and post dives one has ample amount of free time to soak in the atmosphere and explore the island.

  • Approximate Group Size

    10-15 passengers.

  • Money to carry

For those expenses not included in the tour price, you may wish to carry some extra money. USD is acceptable throughout and there are ATMs which can be used to withdraw the local currency. Most of the major restaurants and shops accept International Credit Cards.

  • Tipping

All tipping is optional and by no means mandatory. However, if you feel that your staff and drivers have performed at a good or excellent level, it is a great way to let them know you appreciate their efforts.

  • Getting Around

The transport system in Thailand is extremely accessible and efficient. You can take in the countryside by travelling via bus, train or taxi.

  • Places to eat

Eateries such as Lock Tien Food Court, Bangpae Seafood, Mee Ton Poh, Mor Mudong Restaurant and Phuket Floating Restaurants have gotten good ratings on food websites.

  • Our Favorite thing on the Island

Apart from scuba diving, taking a stroll along the wide sugary beaches located between craggy rock formations and jutting peninsulas in Phuket ranks high on our list of favourites.
