  • Day 1Arrive - Mauritius - Trou Aux Biches
    • On arrival at SSR Airport, you will be meet by Trip360 representative and transferred to your hotel by taxi. The journey is approximately an hour and a half. Once you check into you hotel, you can head out to the dive centre and meet your dive guides.

  • Day 2Trou aux Biches
    • After breakfast, you'll meet the instructors at the dive centre for the briefing. Once fully acquainted with the dive equipment and the dive sites, we will head out into the sea for diving. These 2 dive sites for today are shallow and easy so that we can re-familiarise ourselves with the sensations of diving. We have water and snacks on board in between your dives. Return to the shore by lunchtime and the rest of the day is at leisure to explore the island.

  • Day 3Trou aux Biches
    • After breakfast, we will meet up at the dive centre for your briefing. The dive guide will decide your dive sites for today based on your capabilities, the weather conditions, and general logistics. Once again, we'll hit shore by lunch time, so you have the evening at leisure to explore the island.

  • Day 4Trou aux Biches
    • After breakfast, we will meet up at the dive centre for your briefing. The dive guide will decide your dive sites for today based on your capabilities, the weather conditions, and general logistics. Once again, we'll hit shore by lunch time, so you have the evening at leisure to explore the island.

  • Day 5Trou aux Biches
    • It's back to the dive centre after a good breakfast. Once the dive guide chooses your dive sites for the day, you will set off on boat for 2 dives and return to the shore by lunch time.This evening is left for you to enjoy the sights and sounds of Mauritius.

  • Day 6Trou aux Biches
    • On your last diving day, we start as usual, with a trip to the dive centre after breakfast. Your guide will pick your sites based on your capabilities, the weather conditions and other logistics before you set off on boat. Once you're done with your dives, you'll be back on shore by afternoon, to enjoy one last evening around the gorgeous island.

    • After you check out, you will be transferred to SSR International airport by taxi, to board your departure flight.

Travel Tips

  • Type of Food

    Fish vindaye - This Mauritian dish is supposedly adapted from the Indian vindaloo.

    Dholl pori - You'll find stalls on the street selling dholl puris all over Mauritius.

    Victoria pineapples - Mauritian pineapples are sweeter and more delicious than South African ones.

    Curry and all the trimmings - Mauritian curry has quite a different flavour, although the base is similar - there's garlic, onion, fresh curry leaves and turmeric.

    Seafood - Anyway you want it: baked, grilled, fried, sauteed. Mauritius has incredible seafood - from local fish capitaine to calamari and lobsters. Mauritian cuisine pretty much revolves around seafood.

  • Popular Dive Sites

    Sirius Wreck
    HMS Sirius was a 36-gun fifth-rate frigate of the Royal Navy. Today the Sirius lies in some 20-25 metres of water, and although the wreck has been broken up, as much by salvors as by her unfortunate scuttling, the site is of great archaeological interests

    Azuma Maru
    Sunk on purpose in 1999, Azuma Maru was once an old fishing boat. After being unusable for fishing campaigns, it was recovered by the Mauritius marine Conservation Society(MMCS) and was sunk to create an artificial reef.

    Water Lilly and Emily, Trou Aux Biches
    This site has two old water barges lying at an angle to each other on a sandy bottom at a depth of 26m. The one is named 'Waterlilly' and the second one 'Emily'. The Water Lilly and Emily were sunk in 1981/1982 off the coast of Trou aux Biches in the North-West. Both wrecks are close together and can be reached in one dive.

  • Luggage Info

    A dive bag will help you to organize protect and transport your scuba equipment. Most important one must take an extra effort to pack his dive gear separately and not mix with other essentials. We advise to carry light cotton clothes, summer wears, Easy to dry fabric. Extra swimming costume, sunscreen lotion, sachets of energy drinks, U V protected sunglasses, sun cap or Hat.

  • Books to Read

    Paul et Virginie by Bernardin de Saint Pierre - This book tells a tragic love story of a young couple in Mauritius in the French colonial period. A light read, it allows you get lost in its epic romance as you soak up the sun.

    The Last Brother by Nathacha Appanah - This historical novel follows the story of a young boy as the impact of World War II reaches his previously untouched island home. A great read for history lovers, this story sheds some light on an unexplored portion of WWII history.

  • Typical Day on the Trip

    Most of the time is spent learning new things about diving and practicing those newly learnt skills underwater. The mornings and first half of the day is busy but as the day progresses and post dives one has ample of free time to soak in the atmosphere and explore the island.

  • Tipping

    All tipping is optional and by no means mandatory, however if you feel that your staff and drivers have performed at a good or excellent level, it is a great way to let them know you appreciate their efforts.

  • Getting Around

    There are bus stops about every 500m along the coastal highway. Private taxis are available 10 USD starting terif.

    Dolphin spotting, visit Chamarel coloured earth, take a dip in the Grand Bassin, enjoy a guided tour of Ile Aux Aigrettes, spend a day at Port Louis, visit Le Caudan Waterfront and Try Dholl Puri.
